Student Wellbeing
At Holsworthy Public School, we believe that student wellbeing is at the heart of successful learning. We provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student is valued and inspired to achieve their best. Through evidence-informed teaching, strong partnerships with families and the community, and a focus on diversity and belonging, we empower our students to become confident, resilient, and responsible learners who are ready to thrive in a changing world.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- transition programs for students starting at our school and moving into high school
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support
- year 6 Play Pals program to support kindergarten students develop social connections in their first term of school
- personal development lessons aligned to the PDHPE syllabus
