Kindergarten 2026 Information

Starting school is a significant milestone in the lives of young children and their families. A smooth and supportive transition is vital for each child’s wellbeing and plays a key role in their ongoing academic and social development. This important time also provides a valuable opportunity to build strong partnerships with families and encourage their active involvement in their child’s learning journey.

When to start school

Your child can start kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if he/she turns five on or before 31 July in that year. By law, all children must be enrolled in school by their sixth birthday.

Kindergarten 2026 Information Session

Holsworthy Public School’s information session provides an opportunity for parents to gain information about this fantastic school, meet some of our experienced staff and ask questions. The session will also include a short tour of the school.

Our next information session for Kindergarten 2026 will be held on Wednesday 3 September 2025 at 9am in the hall.

Kindergarten 2025 Transition

We will hold onsite kindergarten transition sessions for students enrolled to commence kindergarten in 2026 across 4 weeks in Term 4 of 2025.
