Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

  • ensure you park safely in school zones following the parking signs
  • pick up and set down students in a timely fashion using the  'Kiss and Drop' zone on Huon Crescent
  • follow speed signs: Huon Crescent  has a permanent speed limit of 40km/hr
  • do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school

Walking and riding

Students can walk or ride their bike or scooter to Holsworthy Public School, with bike racks available on-site for secure storage. Walking and riding are great ways to enjoy fresh air and start the day actively.

  • use pedestrian crossings, follow traffic signals, and walk on the footpath
  • wear a helmet when riding your bike or scooter, and use bike paths where available
  • stay alert by avoiding distractions like phones or headphones
  • travel with a friend, sibling, or trusted adult whenever possible

Catching public transport

Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.

  • Students can travel to Holsworthy Public School by catching a local bus service, with stops conveniently located near the school for easy access. Look up local
  • Students can catch a train to Holsworthy Station and then walk or take a short bus ride to Holsworthy Public School.
