Premier's Debating Challenge
The Premier's Debating Challenge is open to government schools throughout NSW in years 5 & 6.Coaching is provided on a regular basis to help support student achievement in this competition. Students are encouraged to keep up to date with current affairs programs in their own time. Teams entering the challenge compete in a round-robin series of debates against nearby schools, with the winners going on to compete at regional and state level to determine the eventual state champion.

Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition
The Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition has been encouraging primary school students to explore ideas of multiculturalism in Australia, as well as giving them a place to practice their public speaking skills and improve their confidence. The Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition is open to students in Years 3-6. At each stage of the competition participants present both a prepared and an impromptu speech.
2018 Competition
A School final will be held in Week 7. Two students from Years 3 & 4 and two students from Years 5 & 6 will be selected to speak at the local final at Ingleburn Public School on Thursday 5 July.

Annual Public Speaking Competition
Stage One, Stage Two and Stage Three students will participate at the class level of this competition during Term 3. This activity is part of the Speaking and Listening program of each class. Students will be working in class to develop their skills in writing and presenting speeches, they may also work on their speeches at home if they wish. Students will be informed of the date of their presentations by their classroom teacher. The Stage finals will be held in Term 3. One school representative from each stage will be selected to compete at the local final.
